Hello to all my fellow C&Ders who are interested in changing the way you look, the way you feel, and improving your health for the better. You've probably tried to lose weight, eat healthier, and basically find a way to feel better about yourself, but have yet to grasp a consistent way of making that happen.
Hey, I've been there, and it can feel hopeless. What I've found out through the years is something that has given me that consistency that I so needed to help me get to where I wanted to go. I've learned...
to set goals. Goal setting involves establishing specific, measurable, and time-targeted objectives.
The Complete Balance 90-Day Challenge by title states a time-targeted objective in that for 90 days, the participant is challenged to make a positive transformation, both physically and mentally. The other two elements of goal-setting, being specific, and being able to measure your objectives, are what the participant will be tasked to really take ownership of.
You the participant, can make a world of difference by following the tried and true principle of writing your goal down, specifically, and by measuring them throughout your 90 day journey. Years ago, I entered the Body for Life Challenge, and at that time, I wrote "My goal is to lose 50 pounds of bodyfat, with attaining a single digit bodyfat percentage." In order for me to reach that goal, I wrote it down, made measurements in bodyweight and bodyfat percentage before I started, and then again after I completed the program.
In between, I also made measurements to monitor the effectiveness of my workouts. After seeing the effect and the accountability this produced, it was no stopping me. You can do the same thing, though it can be much simpler than what I did years ago, but will produce the same effects, if not greater.
I say greater because it is YOU that will be establishing YOUR goal, experiencing YOUR journey, and believing YOUR possibilities as they happen. More specific components in reaching your goal includes nutrition, rest, and your attitude, and will be discussed throughout the Challenge. For now, focus on setting a specific and measurable goal for the start of the Complete Balance 90 Day Challenge.
So want to know my specific Before and After measurements in the BFL Challenge? Before BW = 255 lbs, BF% = 33% or 84.15 lbs. After BW = 195 lbs. BF% = 9% or 17.55 lbs. 66.60 lbs. of bodyfat loss 6.70 lbs. of Lean body mass gained total bodyfat loss = 59.90 lbs Get behind the reason why you want this as it must be a part of you. If it is because of some material thing or for someone else, what happens when that 'thing' or that 'someone' is no longer there? So will your motivation or reason be to.......
Keep Moving, Keep Improving.
