COMMITMENT

JUST DO IT!

COMMITMENT
Who knew that Nike would explode they way they have? It's a simple phrase...Just Do It! That phrase and the word commitment goes hand in hand. Is commitment just another word?

I can speculate on February 5th in the locker rooms of the Super Bowl teams, commitment will come up somewhere in the mix of the pre-game speech geared to induce emotions and to produce desired results. And I will go as far to say you...
...may hear it in post-game commentary.

"We have to do the doing, not the talking." -Jim Belushi, from the movie Curly Sue -

"Commitment to Excellence" -The Oakland Raiders motto-

"Decide, Commit, Succeed" -P90X-

"Commitment is an act, not a word." -Jean-Paul Sartre-

This is your day, right now, to decide if you want to commit. If you do, commit that is, I guarantee you success. That's right. I said guarantee, because real success to me means you did not quit. The journey you will take is one you will not forget. The peaks and valleys within your journey will produce lessons that you will apply in other areas of your life.

Know why? Because you will have learned something about yourself. That is the one constant in all facets of your life. YOU. The confidence you gain will make others, including myself, look to you to get a little of that. That is what the Marines mean when they say "Get some".
